Hey, i got a 32X system without its patch cable, i would like to test if it works but great patch cables are kind of expensive. Some chinese sellers sells some for almost nothing, i know it will not be shielded and so image and sound will not be perfect but it would still be enough for the moment to test it. The only problem is the 5V pin, i don't trust chinese cable seller and i'm pretty sure they didn't unwire the 5V pin. This video confirm that : xcu888.net/v-video-ldl_xxksXBo.html. The guy in the video just cuted the 5V pin on both parts of the cable to solve this problem, so i just wanted to ask you if it's a good idea to do that and if there isn't any risk using a modded cable like this one (with one pin left). 32X systems are pretty uncomon these days and i really wouldn't want to destroy one. Thanks a lot :).

I've heard many people, including RetroRGB saying how csync is always the best etc. IT IS NOT, the proplem is that many CRTs here in Europe have issues with anything other than sync over comp, a lot of there TVs wont even display anything with csync or the picture may have some bigger or smaller issues, for eg my LG would turn off colors (if you were to cut R,G and B lines, it changes accordingly but still it's B&W). So the point is, please remember to say that for SCART CRTs people should just use sync over comp.

I am curious about this too. I would like to RGB mod my CRT but have not been able to find a comprehensive and clear set of instructions or video tutorials on how to do it.

Hi there. Wondering if you knew if someone sold 8 pin DIN 'U' female ports for a Sega Genesis Model 2? I can't find them anywhere and need to solder one on to a board. Any companies/folks selling "after market" market ones?

hello, I've been enjoying your videos on RGB system setups, was hoping to pick your brain on PVM options. I have an NT mini hooked up via VGA to BNC directly on my monitor, works great. I've noticed that there are additional inputs on the PVM, component inputs A/B aside from RGB inputs. what are those additional inputs for?

Hi there, i´ve seen you are a big user of the OSSC and i plan to buy one. Do you know if i concect a vhs player that outputs a 576i signal would the OSSC convert it to a progressive signal?. When i record my old tapes directly from the vhs with my capture card, it gives me a horrible intelacing effect. So i´m looking to avoid that effect from my records. I hope you can help me with your experience. Thanks again.

Great channel and great work...very informative. I have learnt a lot with your videos. Look, I have a problem with an AV famicom with NESRGB mod installed I purchased some time ago. In this video you can see blinking pixels. ¿Maybe is the cable? I'm thinking buying a SNES NTSC RGB cable from retrogammingcables Thanks in advance. xcu888.net/v-video-TyH6zB4O7GY.html

That could be a few things. I'd try posting in the thread on shmups or nesdev to see how other people fixed theirs.

Why doesn't anyone offer an RGB mod service for N64's that are not version NS1?, even though the ability to mod them has been around for now (e.g. Tim Worthington's fine pitch adapter). I have a gold N64 which is a NS3 and have no intention of replacing it.

Most modding shops do offer that service and some even sell Tim's board. Check Retrofixes or Voultar's shops.
